Mind to tell us your ingame name, so I can ensure that I never have to play with you? And no, I'm not a runner, but it's people like you that obviously don't care about fairness, and I would fully expect you to use every other scam you can think of to rip people of their earned money.

Scam? I never scammed anyone. I just find it unfair people expect 3k to rush someone.

I redo all missions for fun sometimes and i have helped lots of other people complete missions.

Why do people have such a fixation with droknar rushers? Get over it, it is not an issue except that people like you keep making it out to be one.

I agree. Please let us know your name so we can add you to our ignore list. That run takes their time . They could be doing something outside of the game with their time or ingame they could be farming to make that money. Either way you agreed to pay the amount. I paid 4k when I was rushed and was happy with the deal I got. If enough people act stupid like you it will end droknar's rushers all together.

If you don't like the fee or the concept, don't sign up to be rushed. But if you agree to pay for a service, then keep your word and pay. A simple concept...

WTF?? Honestly how is it unfair when someone agrees to pay that amount? It isn't even like a collectors item where someone has a lack of info about the game. For Droknar's rushers let the market decide what is fair and what is not fair. If people were charging 20k each so be it. What would happen is if everyone thought that was unfair they wouldn't do it. But apparently a lot of people think 3k is fair. Why don't you let people decide for themselves what is fair for them and what is not fair. Do you go to the mall in real life analyzing if people got good deals in the different stores?

Not that this should be an issue, but I would make the case that 3k is very fair for most experienced players. I could make 3k easily in the time I was rushed. Maybe you don't know how to farm, but a lot of people who have been through the game can make 3k without much effort.

When you agree to pay someone whatever amount of gold for whatever item/service, and then, once the item/service has been delivered, you refuse to pay the amount of gold agreed upon, you're scamming, by definition.

I do believe that's a violation of the first item of the Rules of Conduct (they call it "defraudment" or some such).

So you go ahead and scam whoever you want to scam for whatever reason you like to think is "fair", but I hope you run into someone with more than two brain cells and get yourself banned.

If by brave you mean scammers, then you are correct.

If the guy wants 2k up front and you don't want to pay, don't pay - leave his group and find another runner or whatever it is.

The moment you agree to pay someone and then you don't, you're a scammer. It's really not rocket science at all.

I remember the VN Boards from back when I played Horizons - it was kinda fun reading there and on tazoon.com, just that IGN had (probably bought) the right to call itself the 'official boards'. Anyway, it was interesting how people that considered themselves fans and (, at least at the beginning,) players of the game acted and behaved. You felt like you were stuck between people who didn't even like the game, but couldn't stop posting (read: ranting) about it.

Agreeing to pay 3K for a service, then not paying up is in fact a scam and is in turn very unfair. What part about paying 3K and getting something in return doesn't sound fair to you?

If you don't like it don't participate, but don't be an ass and ruin it for those who do. You aren't anyones momma to be telling them how to play the game.

He can ask for it upfront if he wants, you don't have to go with him if you don't like it. Find someone else

You all hustled your way out of a deal, not him. You're the scammer and the hustler here, not him.

And after all that complaining, you admit that you did run after all, despite your dissaproval. I somehow doubt that you just turned around and never came back.

You are just angry that they charge for the service. And you feel justified for ripping them off just because you didn't like the price of admission.

Ok, first I'm going to be blunt. You're jealous, simple as that. You are unable to make the run due to a lack of knowledge or skill and instead of practicing and trying to find out how, you like to pretend what we are doing is wrong.

Secondly that may work once but after that you're in trouble since I know I charge half at Snake Dance (as do most runners) and if people start doing what you're suggesting I may end up charging all at Snake Dance. So we'd get to snake Dance you'd refuse to pay and I and anyone else willing to pay jump back to Beacons Perch and I then know one more person and one more guild to avoid.

This reminds me of a tale.

Quote:
One day a scorpion was on the bank of the River Jordan, wanting to get across to the other side. But of course scorpions can't swim. Luckily it spotted an otter that was about to swim across the river.

'Please, otter,' said the scorpion, 'I need to get across the river, but I can't swim - let me ride on your back.'

'What sort of a fool do you take me for?' said the otter. 'If I let you near me you'll sting me to death.'

'Of course I won't,' said the scorpion. 'I'm trying to get across the river. What possible good would it do me to sting you? I'd drown!'

The otter thought it over, and could see the logic of the scorpion's argument. So he let the scorpion jump onto his back, and set off swimming across the Jordan. But half-way across the river, where the river was at its deepest, the otter felt the scorpion's sting stab deep into his flesh. As both animals began to drown, the scorpion apologised: 'I'm a scorpion - I couldn't help myself. That's what I do.'
This guy reminds me of the scorpion.

This inspired me to not pay on my next buss ride. What the hell are they thinking charging me $2.50 for a ride to a place I've been to before?

I'm sure that if I don't pay I'll start a chain reaction and eventualy NO ONE will pay for bus rides and it'll be free! Serves them right!

I could make the run if I wanted but as a lv20, with favor and a lot of cash for those altars.

I never payed for the run and once I think that I was even mistaken for a runner (I had a join request) since a lv20 W/Mo is likely one.

I think we reached a point were the North-South Shiverpeaks maps have to be altered, not with more "anti-rush" mobs but with a effective cut off so people cannot to to south Shiverpeaks before meeting Glint.

Personaly, the only thing I realy mind is people who just go there to buy the best armor so that they can breeze through the rest of the game or abuse the low level arenas. Most of them will bitch and moan and act like jackasses about it all the way too.

It's something that is easily fixed by putting level restrictions on armor. And will most likely cut down the number of people traveling through there significantly.

I dont like "cut the head to cure the headache" solutions and a redesign of how armor works because a testing shortcut is abused is a extreme way to fix the issue of low level character with the best armor avaible in the game.

The problem is the maps giving access to that area, not the armor that is there.

Another thing, what kind of restrictions can you put in armor ... they cannot be level based (since they dont exist in the game) and I am not going to be amused that my gladiator armor now requires 8 tactics as I gone a strenght path with my W/E.

Only way is to cut the map acess or restrict it by putting a outpost that spawns two maps and in order to be taken from one to the other you have to talk to a NPC that checks the player to see if Dragon Lair mission was completed.
